A 45 years old man with wrong surgical operation

Below please find an unfortunate sample of a case handled by us recently.
A 45 years old man was diagnosed with a kidney mass on the right kidney. further work up showed that the mass was malignant [Renal Cell Carcinoma]. There was a cyst of almost the same size on the Lt. Kidney; however, the cyst was benign in nature as shown by needle biopsy and ultrasound. Victim was working in Department of Sanitation and made $68,000 a year, but, he has been on Dialysis 3 times a week and is not able to work since January 2004 when the Surgeon removed the Lt. Kidney by mistake and later, he had to remove the Rt. Kidney since it was embeded with Malignancy. Victim is left without Kidney and is waiting for transplant without income.
